They have the right to enter Indigo Plateau at any time and battle the Elite Eight when they want to. They also have the right to become a Pokémon Master. They though will not become a Master of their League till they face the Master of that League in a tournament that is sanctioned by the League usually once a month or if that League Master challenges that Master after their battle with the Elite. On the topic of tournaments, the League president can decides to call for a tournament whenever he feels it necessary.
  4. Gym Leaders - These are people who own a sanctioned gym in one of the three regions of the Pokémon League. They have to accept those who challenge them for the badge the first time. If that trainer fails to win the gym leader challenge, then they can challenge that gym leader again after a period of 10 days, but only if that gym leader accept. After 10 days, the Gym Leader has to accept the challenge of the trainer again.
  5. Other Pokémon Masters - These are those persons that have managed to defeat four members of the Elite Eight. These people, have the right to challenge the Master of their League when the Masters Tournament is held in their League once a month.
  6. Elite Eight - These are usually the most well trained members of the league. They challenge all those who wish to become Masters and test them on a certain level of Pokémon for their skill in that area. Though they may not show it when challenging those who want to become Masters, their pokémon's power are incredible, if one were to truly face them.
  7. Kanto Master, Orange Master, Johto Master - The League Masters are those trainers whom have managed to make the qualification to be a master and then beat the previous master to become the best in their league. There are three ways to become a League Master. One is to attend one of the tournaments that are held every month. Another is to participate in the Pokémon League main Tournament held once a year and defeat the current League Master in that challenge there, or the third is if you are challenged by your League Master after the battle of the Elite.
  8. Pokémon League Master - This is the 3rd sometimes the 2nd Best Trainer in the Entire Pokémon League. This position could once every year. The other times it will change is when the League Champion or League President retire or step down or when the P. League Master steps down. The Responsibilities of the P. League Master are usually to lead the Elite Eight. It has been at times an actual member of the Elite Eight to be P. League Master while at other times it hasn't.
  9. Pokémon League Champion - Unlike P. League Master, this position will never change unless the holder of the title steps down and retires, dies, or becomes League President. The League Champion duties deal with the internal aspects of the Pokémon League. To qualify to become League Champion, you have to beat at least six members of the Elite Eight or win in a tournament when the holder of this position leaves.
  10. Pokémon League President - The Pokémon League President is the top position of the Pokémon League. He is in direct contact with all the governments that deal with the League and mainly deals with the external aspects of the League. Like the League Champion, this position is permanent until it is given up or the president dies. The League president can be chosen by either ascension from Champion or by the League President himself naming his successor and the entire League council voting on it.

Pokémon League Council - The Pokémon League Council is the group that makes the rules for the Pokémon League. They decide where new gyms are built and which gyms are sanctioned as League Gyms. It is headed by the Pokémon League President, followed by the League Champion and P. League Master. It contains the Gym Leaders, Elite Eight, and the Kanto, Johto, and Orange League Masters.
